It is now possible to tip with BAT token on Reddit and Vimeo via the Brave browser.
Recently in an article, we announced that the Brave browser allowed tips in BAT token on Twitter:

The BAT Token, which is the native token of the Brave browser, allows you to make donations or tips to pay authors of articles or videos on Twitter, Reddit, Vimeo.
The integration of Brave Rewards on Reddit and Vimeo joins Twitter, Twitch and YouTube, the other popular online platforms supported by the Brave browser.
Using the Brave Browser Browser, the public can also be paid for watching commercials.
The basic idea of this crypto project and this web browser is to give back some of the money generated by the advertisements to the users of the browser.
Facebook makes billions of dollars with people’s content but does not give back anything to people who make this content…
The Browser and the coin Basic Attention Token (BAT) want to change that and give back what is due to all those who make content on the internet but who never get anything of the advertising revenue generated by the websites that broadcast these contents.
Even if there is a cost to maintain a web site, Facebook makes billions of profits but does not pay anything to the content makers.
Now, when a user accesses the Reddit website or the Vimeo website with the Brave desktop browser, if he has activated Brave Rewards, he should now see a “Tip” button for each post.
If they click on this button, they will be able to send a quantity of BAT directly to this content creator.
Brave Software has this to say about the changeover of content creators on these five social media platforms:
“When you tip a verified content creator, it is immediately sent to that creator’s Brave Rewards account.
If you tip a creator who is not verified yet, your tip will be kept locally in your browser until this creator verifies with creators.brave.com.
If they are verified within 90 days, your tip will be transferred.
If it does not, you’ll find it in your Brave Rewards wallet.”
It is therefore a very nice initiative for content creators who often rely on this type of income to continue their work as content publisher on the internet!
