If you’re using Telegram or just surfing Youtube, you may have come across the Elon Musk Bitcoin scam.
Like most other crypto scams, the Elon Musk Bitcoin scam uses the image of the famous entrepreneur, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, to trick Internet users into a free Bitcoin airdrop.
With for example, this BTC scam which announces 5000 BTC offered.
A Bitcoin scam based on the fact that the person must first deposit BTC on a Bitcoin wallet address, with the promise that they will be sent back a lot more later.
A scam well known to people in the crypto community but which continues to make many victims, especially with people who have just discovered Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Often well done or sometimes going as far as hacking YouTube channels of known personalities or youtubers, cybercriminals ultimately collect very large sums of money with these crypto scams.
Thus, an Elon Musk Bitcoin scam asked to send Bitcoins on this BTC address (1Musk1ooxNZY3hene1rjqkT3UV1KQXYC49) which contains almost 17 Bitcoins!
More than 160,000 dollars raised by the authors of this Bitcoin scam on Youtube, using the image and name of Elon Musk!
Note that the BTC address even contains the name Musk to appear even more true in the eyes of targeted people who want to believe in luck and be able to earn free Bitcoins!
And this only concerns one Bitcoin BTC address when there must be many others when you see the number of crypto scams circulating on Telegram, Facebook, Youtube, and other social networks or even phishing by E-mail.
Scams are on the rise as Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies become more and more popular.
Knowing that there is still only a small part of the population that uses BTC and crypto currencies, this gives an idea of the margin that remains for future Bitcoin and crypto scams.
