Charlie Lee, Founder of Litecoin (LTC), denounces the inaction of Instagram against crypto scams.
It’s on Twitter that Charlie Lee had his nerves against Instagram, accused of doing nothing to shut down the accounts of crooks posing as Charlie Lee and many other personalities.
Twitter had also been criticized at a time when there were many scams and fake Twitter accounts that remained open despite complaints.
Twitter has since improved its action against Bitcoin and crypto scams in general with greater speed to close the accounts of crooks, phishing scams that promise to receive free altcoins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc…
Charlie Lee is tired of seeing that Instagram does nothing against these scammers and fake instagram accounts that scam people thinking they are talking to the person they impersonate.

And he is not alone in his action against the inaction of Instagram against scammers specialized in fake Instagram accounts of famous personalities.
Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini and best known for his lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg accused of stealing the idea and concept of Facebook from the Winklevoss twin brothers, also expressed his anger to Instagram for the same reasons.
Instagram belongs to Facebook precisely and this company should have the financial means to set up an effective technical support to close fake Instagram accounts and sue the perpetrators of these crypto scams.
But it seems that despite the repeated reports by Charlie Lee, Cameron Winklevoss or many other people, these fake Instagram accounts are still there!
Raging Charlie Lee and Cameron Winklevoss who hope that thanks to their notoriety, Instagram will finally do something to close these fake Instagram accounts that try to rip off people pretending to be famous people.
Charlie Lee says that it’s been months and that nothing changes from Instagram who still has not closed these accounts.
Twitter, Instagram, Facebook must fight against robots that create accounts automatically and must be checked before closing, which requires human and technical resources that Instagram does not seem to have.
All personalities are affected by these well-known crypto scam, the future will tell if the actions of Charlie Lee and Cameron Winklevoss will finally have an influence on Instagram in order to quickly close the fake accounts on its site.
