The Ethereum blockchain will soon go into proof of stake mode thanks to ETH 2.0.
The first tests have started with the Ethereum 2.0 testnet from Prysmatic labs.
Currently in proof of work mode like the Bitcoin BTC blockchain, Ethereum will therefore allow the staking of ETH tokens, you will need 32 in order to be able to do Ethereum staking.
So how much will Ethereum staking yield based on the number of ETH tokens that you may have to put into staking?
An interesting tool has therefore been put online, a calculator which allows you to calculate the efficiency of Ethereum 2.0 staking.
ETH 2 Calculator therefore allows you to enter the number of Ethereum tokens to stake and indicates the rewards in ETH tokens over the next 10 years.
The calculator also supports euros, USD dollars, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, Japanese yen, British pound.
The tool uses data from the Ethereum ConsenSys incubator.
The calculator has a variety of customizable parameters to simulate different staking conditions.
Ethereum staking which should attract many ETH token holders especially if the Ethereum price goes up over time.
An Ethereum price today around $192.
Still, you will need 32 ETH tokens to do Ethereum staking, that is to say around 6,144 dollars at the current ETH price!
This remains cheaper than the highest Ethereum price which hovered around $1,500 during the last Bitcoin BTC bull run at the end of 2017!
Cryptocurrency staking is more and more popular, an easy way to make money with altcoins and cryptocurrencies.
