In France, 25,000 outlets of 30 major brands will soon accept Bitcoin (BTC)!
This is what the company Global POS and its EasyWallet app announced in a press release, more than 25,000 outlets of thirty major brands in France, such as Decathlon, Sephora, Conforama or Foot Locker, will be able to offer their customers to pay with Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency for their purchases.
The businesses have nothing to do, it is the payment provider who takes care of everything including cryptocurrency-Euro conversions so that the brand recovers its sales in fiat money.
The Easy2Play Payment solution and the EasyWallet application, developed in partnership with Global POS, will manage Bitcoin payments (BTC) for some 30 big brands (Boulanger, Foot Locker, Decathlon, Conforama, Maison du monde, Intersport, Cultura, Norauto and Sephora), which will have access to this payment solution by the first quarter of 2020, the statement said.

“If, initially, the service we offer will only allow the use of bitcoins, our goal is to open our solution to other crypto-currencies in the future,” says Stephane Djiane, CEO and founder of Global POS.
This is a small step towards a mass adoption because it remains unanswered how many customers will actually pay in Bitcoin (BTC) when the payment solution will be available for these major brands.
Making Bitcoin payment available can only attract new people in Bitcoin and cryptmoney.
For Grégory Hervein, co-founder of the brand Moustaches (products for dogs and cats), “the acceptance of cryptocurrencies is a real challenge for retailers (and) we are aware of the expectations of the public and the scope of the message that we send to a whole community”.
“We are happy to be able to make this ecosystem more concrete for consumers and to enter the crypto-economy in a legal framework,” quoted in the statement.
Global POS introduces itself as “the leader in the dematerialization of prepaid cards and digital payment ” in France.
