In Australia, it is now possible to buy Bitcoin at post offices

Interesting initiative from Bitcoin.com.au which allows you to order Bitcoin on their website and pay for it at a post office in Australia.

In order to facilitate the first purchases of Bitcoin BTC, this website wanted to allow the public who has confidence in an institution like the national post office, to buy Bitcoin by paying it in cash or by credit card on site in all the post offices in the country.

The procedure is simply explained on the site, an individual can buy 50 to 50,000 dollars in Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Indeed, Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency you can buy at a post office in Australia, the company has also added the very popular altcoin Ethereum.

In the procedure to follow, the site recommends to beginners to download the crypto wallet Edge on mobile.

There is of course an identity check to purchase Bitcoin at an Australian Post Office, this is not a way to buy Bitcoin anonymously like at a Bitcoin ATM.

Even if in this developed country, the population is of course used to paying online for many services or for ecommerce, we can think that this solution is aimed at new buyers interested in Bitcoin but who will have confidence in this purchase, paying for it at an institution like the post office.

Holger Arians, CEO of Bitcoin.com.au, says in particular:

“For many people, paying for Bitcoin at an Australian post office seems safer than transferring funds online, especially for first-time buyers. We are proud of this partnership and we thank Australia Post for its continued openness to new technologies.”

Buying Bitcoin is therefore increasingly easy, in the United States, it is now possible to buy Bitcoin in 7-eleven stores across the country.

More recently, it seems that Paypal will integrate the purchase of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its site, Paypal which is used by more than 300 million users worldwide!

A Bitcoin price currently around $9,273.
