Vitalik Buterin invites Elon Musk to the next Ethereum DevCon!
Elon Musk, Tesla’s visionary founder, had a dialogue with Ethreum co-founder Vitalik Buterin via Twitter.
Musk started the conversation by writing only the word “Ethereum”.
In response, Buterin invited Musk to the next Ethereum Devcon, which will be held in October 2019.
Then Musk asked Buterin, “What should be developed on Ethereum?”
The Russian genius noted, in response to Elon, the creation of a “globally accessible financial system, including payments, life insurance”, as well as a digital identity infrastructure based on ETH for Facebook.

My top picks (1):
* A globally accessible financial system, including payments, store of value, also more advanced stuff like insurance https://t.co/AGoMt6r2wK
* Identity: “sign in with Facebook” -> “sign in with an ethereum account, no intermediaries”. Also web of trust…— Vitalik Non-giver of Ether (@VitalikButerin) April 30, 2019
Buterin also proposed the creation of registers and certificates that would be digitally signed.
He also referred to the use of the ETH blockchain for “experimenting with new forms of human organizational structure” and allowing cases of micropayment use through the EPF payment channels.
Also “the markets of personal data for the automatic learning of the preservation of the private life” and the use of “the cryptoeconomy for the prevention of spam in social networks”.
Finally, he stated that the Ethereum blockchain could serve as a test channel for “new market models” and that technology could strengthen the identity, reputation and credit systems of marginalized social groups, or even create decentralized DNS alternatives.
The Tron Foundation CEO, Justin Sun, also participated in the debate on Twitter, but only to add the word “TRON”.
On the other hand, it should be noted that, despite Elon’s brief words, some people think that this has caused the recent rise in ETH price.
As noted earlier, Musk praised the Bitcoin (BTC) structure for being “pretty bright,” but pointed to the problematic energy intensity of token mining.
The founder of Tesla claimed to own only a very small amount of BTC, which a friend would have sent him years ago.
This should be interesting if Elon Musk responds positively to Vitalik Buterin’s invitation and agrees to go to the next Ethereum Devcon to learn more about blockchain technology and Ethereum.
