As a sign of the times, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are occupying an increasingly important place in everyday life as well as in movies and TV series.
The Billions tv series has just started a new season on ShowTime and the first episode evokes the number 1 cryptocurrency in the market: Bitcoin BTC.
In this popular series, started in 2016, Chuck Rhoades, a New York federal prosecutor, confronts the wealthiest investment fund managers in the United States, including the sly Bobby “Ax” Axelrod.
A scene from the first episode broadcast in the United States on Showtime therefore shows a scene where Chuck Rhoades questions a man about Bitcoin mining and the value of BTC.
“So your multitude of computers and services solves abstract mathematical equations that result in the extraction of what, Bitcoin? Who is worth millions right now, supported by what?”
Bitcoin in Billions has been noticed by many people in the crypto community including the CEO of Binance who talked about it on Twitter.

This is not the first time that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies have been featured in the Billions series.
In a previous episode, Bobby Axelrod paid a person, giving him a USB key containing private keys leading to millions of dollars in crypto.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are increasingly cited on TV or in the movies.
The Simpsons have mentioned blockchain technology or cryptocurrencies several times.
A sign of the times, therefore, to see and hear more and more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies which are making their place in daily life as they go.
As we’ve also seen in many articles, the general public is increasingly investing in Bitcoin or trading BTC, with notably crypto trading bots or Bitcoin robots.
