Statements made by Tesla CEO Elon Musk are being watched closely as they can have positive or negative consequences when he talks about a specific topic or a particular brand.
His comments on Bitcoin BTC cryptocurrency are also scrutinized by the crypto community, for words and deeds that can have unintended consequences such as causing the Bitcoin price to rise by simply adding Bitcoin to his Twitter profile.
Elon Musk is aware of the importance of what he says, he recalled in an interview where he notably said that he is a supporter of Bitcoin.

You can listen to him in this audio clip where he indicates that he had the opportunity to buy Bitcoin in 2013 and maybe he should have done so.

Did Elon Musk buy Bitcoin?
That’s very likely even if he doesn’t seem to want to reveal it just yet, perhaps for fear of pumping the BTC price if he does make the revelation.
Saying that he missed the opportunity to buy some in 2013, and that he is late to the party seems to mean that he did buy some.
Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, had offered him on Twitter to explain how it is possible to buy large sums of money for his company Tesla.
By declaring that he is a supporter of Bitcoin, it may be a first step before officially declaring that he now owns it, or that the Testa company has used its cash funds to buy and invest in BTC like MicroStrategy just did.
Answer maybe in Elon Musk’s next tweet, in the meantime, he might already be pushing Bitcoin price up by simply stating that he is a supporter of it and that Bitcoin is a good thing.
He also mentions Dogecoin in this audio excerpt, recalling that Dogecoin is indeed a joke to begin with and that he sometimes jokes by quoting this cryptocurrency, this clarification certainly indicating that Bitcoin is on the other hand a much more serious subject.
