Cryptopia, the new documentary about Bitcoin and the blockchain by director Torsten Hoffmann

Director Torsten Hoffmann is known for his first documentary about Bitcoin, “Bitcoin: the end of Money as we know it“.

He has just released a new documentary about Bitcoin and the blockchain, Cryptopia, which is available on VOD on cryptopiafilm.com.

It’s good to point out that despite the documentary’s title, Cryptopia, the movie has nothing to do with the hacking and bankruptcy of the crypto exchange of the same name.

Rather, the title and film refer to the utopia of creating a new financial world built around Bitcoin, created in 2008 in response to the subprime financial crisis and the bank bailout in billions.

A documentary more about decentralized finance DeFi, blockchain and Bitcoin BTC.

Actors in the crypto and blockchain world like Andreas Antonopoulos, Laura Shin, Wences Casares, Charlie Lee founder of Litecoin, Vitalik Buterin co-founder of Ethereum, Craig Wright the fake Satoshi Nakamoto, Preethi Kasireddy, or Roger Ver of Bitcoin Cash.

Here’s the trailer of the Cryptopia movie:

Director Torsten Hoffmann is an independent producer and therefore financed his film himself by using crowfunding.

Cryptopia will therefore not be available on Amazon or Apple, Torsten Hoffmann is counting on the public and the crypto community to download the film on VOD on its site cryptopiafilm.com in order to collect funds for his work and all freelancers who work with him.

Viewing the film costs around 6 dollars and therefore supports independent production of movies about Bitcoin.
