Bitcoin trading volume hits a new record in Argentina after the ban on buying cryptocurrencies with credit card.

We mentioned in a previous article that the Central Bank of Argentina has banned the purchase of Bitcoin BTC or other cryptocurrency by credit card to protect the national currency and limit the purchase of dollars USD by the people in Argentina.
Prohibition that also applies to other cryptocurrency of Ethereum, XRP, LTC, etc…

The Bitcoin exchange volume was gradually rising in Argentina and since the entry into force of this ban on the purchase of Bitcoin by credit card, the volume has steadily increased.

By prohibiting the purchase of BTC by credit card, the opposite effect occurs and more people want to buy Bitcoin in response to the economic and financial crisis in the country.

As shown in the chart available on the CoinDance website, the volume of Bitcoin transactions continues to rise against the Argentinian Peso on the Localbitcoins website.

The government of Mauricio Macri and Guido Sandleris, the president of the Central Bank of Argentina, can not therefore stop the purchase of Bitcoin BTC against the national currency.
Authorities in Argentina that have passed other measures such as a new limit of $200 per month for dollar purchases for individuals with a bank account and $100 for the dollar amount that can be purchased in cash.

Despite the ban, cryptocurrency and Bitcoin BTC appear to be a safe haven for citizens who seek to avoid a brutal devaluation of the national currency by taking refuge in new digital currencies that can be sold or exchanged anywhere in the world or in peer to peer in just a few minutes.
